Counselling and Supervision

Helping you achieve your best self through professional person-centred counselling

About

About Me

I am a qualified and registered Person‑Centred Counsellor with over 20 years’ experience. Across this period I have had the privilege of supporting clients across a wide range of issues which has deeply shaped my professional growth. These include common mental health concerns, marital challenges, bereavement, trauma/racial trauma and work‑related stress.

I also have specialist experience in several areas. For over a decade, I have worked with domestic abuse, rape and sexual violence, supporting clients to find a sense of peace and acceptance.

As a global majority therapist, I have supported clients from culturally diverse backgrounds, especially in work-based settings and around the psychological impact of trauma associated with racism. I provide a safe place for you to find belonging and acceptance in the counselling setting.

Counselling

I offer counselling via Microsoft Teams, telephone, text or email. This means geographical distance is not a barrier to accessing support. I do not offer regular in‑person sessions, but for clients who live locally I can blend online or telephone counselling with a once‑monthly “walk and talk” session, weather permitting. Sessions are 50 minutes long. Please allow 1 hour for your first session so we can complete an assessment and risk assessment, set goals together and give you time to ask any questions. Standard rate: £50 per session (charged for missed sessions without 24 hours’ notice of cancellation). Concessionary rate for student counsellors: £45 per session. I offer long‑term, short‑term and single‑session work, depending on what you need.

Supervision

I provide professional clinical supervision for qualified practitioners and student counsellors on accredited courses, exclusively via online and telephone platforms. For experienced counsellors, 1.5-hour sessions are £60 monthly. I also support student development with fortnightly sessions at a reduced rate of £35 per hour to meet training requirements.
